In this exhibition Hotere is represented by a compelling selection of lithographs, drawings and a major side-sash window painting never before shown. The works span three decades - from 1970 to 1999.

Hotere's work has always been both personal and political, using art as a physical language that can be recognized and known as uniquely from this part of the world. He has used the words of New Zealand poets Hone Tuwhare, Bill Manhire, Ian Wedde and Cilla McQueen, making them an integral part of his style and method.
