Exhibition Text

OverView is a major survey of contemporary New Zealand art in three parts.

The second exhibition entitled Notions of the Figurative and continues until January 14, 2004. While it might seem disparate at first, it is the collision (and collusion) of idea, purpose and visual intention through utilisation of the representational language that unites a central core of contemporary NZ art. Incisive and decisive: this exhibition presents a powerful portrait of interior and exterior intellect.
