Dominic Burrell is a young glass artist with a developing language and style. In this exhibition he uses an organic stacked form into which colour is released through a process that involves both the angle of sight and the method of making. In essence his works are roll-ups of colour layered in varying thicknesses and so the colour emerges like memory through the various interventions of occlusion, spatial depth, tone and hue.

He uses height, repetition, scale variance. He builds wheels and tunnels. The works allude to circles and pipes but Burrell has allowed the shapes to be deformed and irregular. The works in Epicentre explore elements of form and balance, using colour bands and tonal variance as the key transition device.
