Each of the artworks in Studio 18D is emblematic of the theory, style, subject matter, and process of its maker.
Whether it is Ralph Hotere’s A Black Union Jack, Bill Hammond’s Headset 3 & 4, or Neil Dawson’s Vortex 5, every artwork in the exhibition is centrally situated within each the artists’ practice and reflects their core concerns with art-making as a conceptual, material, and narrative process.
