Figures stand or move in careful relation to each other maintaining a silent dialogue of camaraderie, hierarchy. This force-field of connection is amplified in the stream of overhead chatter wired from pole to pole as though from figure to figure; figures which the artist ensnares in paint as much as in context. A quiet tension is exerted between their isolation and connectedness, between the hermetically sealed individual and the invisible omnipresent traffic of thought, awareness and multiplicity of ties that bind.
